Wedding Planner?
Yes, yes you need one!
Wedding Planner Matters
Let’s ease into this one. While I love helping with timelines and offering advice during the planning process, I’m not your wedding planner and that’s okay. On your wedding day, my focus is exactly where it belongs: behind the lens, capturing genuine moments as they unfold, not tracking down missing bouquets or solving cake delays. That’s where a planner (or at the very least, a solid coordinator) comes in.
A wedding planner is the behind the scenes magic maker who keep things running smoothly, from managing the timeline in real time to handling vendor questions and solving problems before you even know they exist. Their job is to keep the day flowing. Yours is to be present, in love, and completely immersed in the moment.
When someone else is handling the chaos, you’re not fielding last minute questions or worrying if everything’s going to plan. You’re soaking up every laugh, every tear, every wild dance move. And I’m right there, capturing it all.

Planning = Picture Perfect
Here’s the secret no one tells you: a well organized wedding doesn’t just feel better, it looks better.
When the timeline the wedding planner and I put together is solid, we don’t lose golden hour portrait time to delays. When someone’s tidying the space, your getting ready room doesn’t look like a suitcase exploded in it. And when you feel calm, grounded, and happy? That energy shows up in every single image.
I love working with planners. We’re a team. While they keep the day on track, I get to focus entirely on what I do best: capturing real, beautiful moments as they unfold.

My Favorite Kind of Wedding Day
You know what gets me excited as a photographer? A wedding day that feels effortless; It’s not that everything goes perfectly, let’s be honest, something always goes wrong, but you’re not the one dealing with it.
You’re getting ready in a calm, tidy space. Music’s playing, your people are laughing, no one’s frantically looking for the steamer.
The timeline isn’t a guessing game. It’s carefully planned, with a buffer for breathing room. While everything behind the scenes is being taken care of, you’re simply there, present, in the moment, soaking up every second with the person you love.
It’s not about perfection; It’s about peace. When the pressure’s off and the vibe is right, everything feels lighter. Your shoulders drop. You laugh louder. You forget about the camera and start living in the moment. That’s where the magic happens. Not in the perfectly posed, but in the perfectly you.
That’s the kind of energy that shows up in your photos. Real joy. Real presence. Real you.
Be Present, Not Busy
No worries. There’s more than one way to get the support you need. You might not need someone to design every centerpiece or color coordinate the napkins. But having a professional on hand, especially for the day-of or month-of, is huge.
Even if you’ve done all the planning yourself (and bravo, by the way), the last thing you want is to be the one keeping things on schedule while also getting married. Let someone else run the show. You deserve to be fully present, and your friends and family do too. No one wants to be stuck herding guests or calling the caterer when they should be dancing or tearing up during your vows.

Still on the Fence?
If you’re not sure where to start, Here are two incredible planners Eventdujour and GayaEvents that are great at what they do. Whether you want full-service support or just someone to keep things smooth on the day, there’s someone out there who fits your vibe.
And trust me… Your future self (and your photo gallery) will thank you.
